Rating : - Non-intuitive Interface I bought this mainly to use as a personal MP3 recorder--its the only one I could find at the time. With a Griffen (?) mic it has great sensitivity, sound quality, and recording capacity--used it to record weddings and other events. But the interface is pretty horrible. Maybe it's me, but I have to figure out the multifunction buttons every time I use it. And my wife, whom I bought it for recording lectures, refuses to use it because of that interface. As delivered, I had to use the iRiver proprietary software to upload music via the USB port, but I eventually found a firmware upgrade that allows the device to work like a USB memory drive directly.
