One of Eureka's innovations is the Riser Visor, a clear plastic cover that stays down for cleaning horizontal surfaces and flips up so the revolving brush can reach the vertical carpet on stair risers. Rating : - Sucks it head off!
This Eureka 71B Hand-Held Vacuum sucks its head off! In fact, it sucks so hard that it can be a tad hard to maneuver. I find the onoff switch on the top very, very tight, but I think the machine is just put together well! Eureka 71B Hand-Held Vacuum

I wonder if the reviewer whose machine stopped right away just received an anomaly - a bad machine that should have been returned. I don't know if Eureka is a problematic warranty guarantor and I hope I never have to find out. I have had mine for a while and it is STILL going strong.
